a) Find a tamer and he will take it for you, one outside of Ascalon City the one in Factions not sure.
b) They are everywhere, anything with a green name, level 5, and looks like an animal. Also you need to be part Ranger with the skill Charm Animal. c)Yes, you can bring your PVE character into PVP. d)Press " G" and click your name and leave guild. e) Depends using a bow or claws. Play around with builds till your liking. As for using part Ranger use Troll Unguent, Whirling Defence, Throw Dirt. Don't use the word noob anymore. |

a) You can't sell a pet. You'll need 2 find a tanner, he/she/it will take your pet
b) Pets are walking around outside towns, find the one you like and use "charm animal" c) Uhm i thought so (don't play a lot of pvp) but later on in the game d) press G, to go to your guildwindow then press the messnger man button in front of your name. Then press "leave my guild" (or something) e) no idea, although i heard many players use daggers with the dodge skills (dodge, whirling defense) from the ranger side. Also the search button is your friend (how ironic ) |

b) Not all creatures with a green name can be charmed (rabbit for example). Some creatures with red names can be charmed. I know the wolf in pre sear (name in red) can be charmed.

Something I noticed yesterday while playing in Factions. Some Yeti's have pets, these pets are level 15 and are Elder pets. Elder Tiger and Elder Crane are the two I saw. Now both these pets names where in red indicating a foe. But when I killed the one Yeti with the Elder Tiger the tigers name went from red to Green. I am not sure how difficult it would be to tame them being level 15's, also I wasn't wanting a new pet as my White Tiger just got to 20. And I like him. But for those that must have an Elder pet there might be an interest in this.

a) Fine a TAMER not a tanner. You're selling th pet, not killing it. You can only get money for a level 20 pet, and it's a pretty small amount if memory serves me. b) Walk around outside with charm animal equipped, shouldn't be that hard. c) Yes c) hit g, click on the icon by your name, click leave my guild. e) That depends on what you want to play. I'm chock full of good ranger builds, or you could go with using expertise to lower to cost of dagger attacks. Off the top of my head, here's my current build, made partly for entertainment: Expertise: 11+2=13 Beastmastery: 11+3=14 Marksmanship: 8+1=9 Dump the rest wherever Equipment: Zealous flatbow or shortbow, I'm using a flatbow. Make sure you have a non-zealous non-vampiric weapon to switch to. I'm using druids armor, but it shouldn't make that big a difference. Skills: Barrage (E) -energy management Call of Haste - increases damage Predatory bond- self heal Predator's Pouce - Pet self heal + very good damage Brutal Strike - Insane damage, it's like a spammable final thrust. Comfort animal - pet heal/rez Charm animal - Wouldn't work too well without a nifty pet Rez - never leave home without it. Last edited by Dr Strangelove; May 12, 2006 at 03:25 PM // 15:25.. |

important part here: Getting rid of your pet It is not possible to charm a new animal while one already has a pet. The only way to get rid of a pet is to speak with Jarrel the Tamer. He can be found just outside post-searing Ascalon City or next to Master Ranger Nente in Regent Valley (Pre-Searing). The tamer may give a small amount of gold in exchange for an experienced pet (100 gold pieces for a level 20 pet). Giving up a pet at a tamer is final; there is no way to get it back. On the continent of Cantha, you can get rid of a pet by speaking to the tamer outside Shing Jea Monastery or Chibichi the Tamer in Bukdek Byway or Zarek the Tamer in Ferndale. |

PvP
There is a low level arena in the monastery. Hold alt and look for an arena guard. Go to the world map and travel to the battle isles for the "normal" pvp action, but you really don't want to be taking a low level toon there. Still you can mess around with the training grounds and such. |

a) a mini pet is different from the pet you get with a ranger via charm animal (pets). a mini pet cannot attack or die and just follow you around for looks, whereas your ranger pet will attack, die, and follow you around for looks. You get these mini-pets when your character turns 1 year old or if you have the CE version of factions in which there is a special emote you can type that will work only once to give the special pet item.

To get to the battle isles, you will need a ship on the main map. Not sure if in factions this requires getting to Kaineng Center. The ship is northeast of the original island, off the northwest corner of the mainland... click on the ship, select "Great Temple of Balthazar" (should be your only option unless you have prophecies - the original GW) and go there. From there, you can slowly get around the Battle Isles. Zoom out and you should see the ship (if you're far enough along in the game?).

When you are in your guild hall with a group of 8 press the Enter Battle button under your names to arrange the battle
I forgot to mention that only an officer or the leader can start a GvG (with the exception of Scrimmage matches) Last edited by God Apprentice; May 13, 2006 at 12:13 AM // 00:13.. |

For GvG, you don't need to have an officer/leader lead the party when starting a GvG match, they just need to be in the party. Also, not sure if its still true, but 7-8 months ago you could start with a party of 6 (3 people, 3 henchies), at least for the day we did it.

Hi, You have to take a boat that departs from Lion's arch towards the islands then you choose heros ascend I recomend that you are lvl 20 otherwise it will be difficult to find a party.
